QUICK,
EASY BLADE INSTALLATION The
hinged upper band wheel cover and blade guard swing out of the
way to allow easy, unobstructed installation of the band blade. |

AUTOMATIC
BLADE TENSIONING Once
the band is in place, a few strokes on the ratchet handle (until
it comes to a stop) apply correct tension on the blade. Four
alignment screws on the band wheel allow proper alignment of the
wheel for correct blade tracking. |

AUTOMATIC
COLUMN TRAVERSE STOPS Stop
dogs on the Mark II can be set to limit the forward and
return travel of the saw’s column. This feature
considerably speeds cutting cycles when the full 18”
travel of the column is not required for the sawing
being done. |

IMPROVED
CHIP CONTROL The
Series 8 Mark II has a chip control system that cleans
the blade and collects chips for easy removal. A powered
wire brush and two coolant jets wash chips off the band
blade immediately after it leaves the cut. A deflector
mounted on the base of the column minimizes chip
accumulation and interference with the saw operation. |
